Spring is in the air and with it comes a delicious new beer from Island Brewing Company, a special release of a single batch brew, the Hibiscus Sunrise Pilsner. The local brewery joined many other breweries around the country who participated in the Pink Boots Collaboration Brew, a women empowering craft beer brewing experience. Hibiscus Sunrise Pilsner will be released on April 5th. The beer features three pounds of Gold Nugget Mandarin zest from fruit grown on Rincon Mountain, and five gallons of Hibiscus tea for a refreshing beer that weighs in a 4.3% ABV.  A portion of the funds from beer sales will go to the Pink Boots Society, to help women beer professionals advance their careers in the brewing industry. Hibiscus Sunrise Pilsner will be available on tap, in cans, and in growlers at Island Brewing Company.
