We'll be putting our feet to the streets in the 6th Annual Carpinteria Volksmarch. This year the route will travel from Island Brewing Company to either Rincon Brewery or BrewLab and the Apiary and then return.

The idea is simple: embrace the old German tradition of the 'Volksmarch', or people walk, and hike a 2.3-mile route from brewery to brewery to brewery in the aim of supporting the local food bank while promoting fitness, fun and fellowship. Entry will be 2 cans of food.

In addition to roadside camaraderie found only when galavanting through town waving a beer flag on a non-competitive stroll, you'll get a passport to be stamped at each location, and on your successful return, will be granted a medal commemorating your efforts. 

Back at Island Brewing Company, you'll be able to take a load off and smile some more. This event is always more fun than its predecessor, so here's hoping we'll see you for it.
