Spring is in the air, and the masterminds here at Island Brewing Company have come up with a special, single batch brew, the Hibiscus Sunrise Pilsner. This delectable delight features three pounds of Gold Nugget Mandarin zest from fruit grown on Rincon Mountain, with five gallons of Hibiscus tea added for a refreshing 4.3% abv, 25 ibu easy drinking beer.

We joined many other breweries around the country who participated in the Pink Boots Collaboration Brew, and we had an all star cast of local women beer enthusiasts getting this one done. A portion of the funds from beer sales of the the Hibiscus Sunrise Pilsner will go to the Pink Boots Society, to help women beer professionals advance their careers in the brewing industry. Hibiscus Sunrise Pilsner will be available on draft, in cans, and growlers.
