Island Brewing Company Claim Gold, Silver Medals

CARPINTERIA, CA –  Island Brewing Company claimed both a Gold and  Silver Medals at the Best of Craft Beer Awards,  judged in Bend, Oregon, January 28-29th. The competition features hundreds of craft breweries from throughout the nation, judged throughout a wide variety of beer styles.

 Island Brewing Company earned a Gold Medal for its Tropical Lager in the American-style Lagercategory, while the Jubilee went on to claim the Silver Medal in the Scotch Ale category. “The win for the Tropical Lager was great, but made even better because that entry was submitted in a can form, a packaging process that we have recently started, and a testament to the fresh is best philosophy that has driven our brewery from the start,” said owner and founder Paul Wright. “The Jubilee Ale is a local favorite, and no stranger to accolades in the Scotch Ale category, so we’re happy to see that beer still resonant with certified beer judges, and the daily friends that come to the brewery every day.”
